This movie (as the site hidden behind this link) was created in 2004 as a historical parody on the production of oil. Its name Evøil was created based on some research I did on Standard Oil and others. It was designed to appear as if it was released in the hay day of these types of promotional films in the early 1940s. These types of films produced by a variety of sources was still used in many classrooms as instruction in American schools through the late 1960s. This film in paticular was made using found footage from the site Prelinger Archives, which deserves a great deal of the credit.
Most of the animations along with the audio is original though. The concept, writing, editing and animations were self created using a variety of applications… with the help of a few friends.
